What do we do when our parents forbid our first love?

Helena, 13, lives in Caracas, to which her German parents migrated in the early 50’s. Confronted with the Nazi past of her country of origin, there are many doubts that assail her about her parent’s actions in this chilling stage of German history. Silence and secrets surround their past lives especially that of her charismatic and adored father Max, with whom she is very close. She discovers clues that lead her to reveal secrets and confront her father. At the time, Helena struggles to find her own identity, torn as she is between the European principles of her home and the fascinating magical-tropical world that surrounds her. Her fist love is rejected and forbidden. Helena must find her place between obedience and rebelion, trust and the unknown, between Germany and Venezuela. Her search for the truth makes her a spy in her own home.
